WEEKLY REPORT FROM HEAVY D….

Well all of those lucky race fans that came out Saturday Night to BIG O Speedway got to see the invasion of the Short Track Super Series (STSS) Cajun Region Big Block Modifieds. Anyone that knows Cajun food knows it is hot. Well let me tell you, so is their racing series! These racers came in with one mind set and that was to take the victory in the 25-lap feature. This is the first time the Short Track Super Series ventured into Texas and we at BIG O are glad they chose our track! These ground pounding Big Blocks brought their A game; that being said the top three racers were all local drivers that being Jon White in the 21 , Dale Wester and his 5 and 3rd going to Kody Keimig and the next three were all series regulars. I think the story might be a little different Sept. 18, 2021 when the STSS Cajun Region Big Blocks once again invade BIG O Speedway. Not to be out done the Thompson Construction Pro Late Models showed what their fans have always understood hard racing and slide jobs. With Jim Moon and his #1 car winning and the #ZZ of Sloppy Hogg second and William Tell and his red #5 finishing on the podium. The Ruston Cattle CO. USRA factory stocks tried to steal the show with a great 15 lap feature with passing and rubbing being the norm. The points leader Michael Bowles led the charge and won the feature. The Rendel RV USRA modifieds took a cue from the STSS boys and raced a hard fought 15 lap feature with Casey Huggins in Victory Lane, 2nd was the #1H of Richard Brown, and 3rd was Todd Greeninger in the #58. The unlucky dog went to Chad Guest as he led most of the laps and had an altercation with a lap car which cost him the win. Once again the Mac Haik Ford Eco mods came on to the speedway after intermission and started the features out with a hard fought victory for Devon Bowles in the #4D, Toby Grissom in the #2 and Leon Hill in his #17 taking 3rd place. When the BTS Concrete Thunder Cars rolled on the speedway as the final feature the fans were already spoiled by some great racing got their dessert in a 15 lap shoot out. With Ben Brand parking his #72 in Victory Lane and right on his tail Preston Haley got second right, and Michael Potocki in the #82 got third. Saving the best for last the Kilos Drilling saw “The Kidd” Aubrey in the #09c giving herself an early 15th birthday gift for the win.
At intermission, the Kids Candy Call was successful as always. About hundred kids and parents gathered along the front straightaway with many of the drivers bringing candy, autograph cards, and sharing time with the kids in the cars and taking pictures.

Well in closing come out to BIG O Speedway this Saturday 28, 2021 you can expect some of the best dirt track racing in the area. To quote that great cajun chef Justin Wilson “I gaurantttee it”
