The high banked 5/16 oval dirt track, at BIG O Speedway, was invaded by the Texas Winged Modifieds and the Outlaw/Pro mini-bikes. If you weren’t there man did you miss some great racing! In the before mentioned Texas Winged Modifieds a 15 lap feature was ran with Keith White in his #1 led a majority of the laps, however; with 2 laps to go Billy Bachmann in his #38 took advantage of lap traffic and passed Keith coming out of 2 and won the feature with Mark Zoliers #64 in 3rd. Your Thompson Construction Pro Late Model feature was Jim Moon taking the pole and leading every lap with the Outlaw Street Stocks of Drew Garcia in the #9g 2nd and the 13 year old Ortanik Mikel in his #21 taking 3rd. Not to be out done The Ruston Cattle Co. Dylan Glass in the #27h RenDel RV USRA Modified, took off from the outside pole and took the victory with the #99b of Danny Rodgers earning 2nd and Series regular Richard Brown in the #1H getting 3rd. The Kilos drilling Hornets feature was won by the #13 of Blake McKenrick and as usual he waved at the crowd on the parade lap and waved as he took the checkered flag for the win. Kaylie Bryce was 2nd and Cameron Dodd in the #22 was 3rd. The BTS Concrete Thunder Cars was no disappointment with all the action between the cars. Ronnie “Big Poppa” Miller winning the feature in his #RM1 taking the lead and never looking back, but if he had he would of seen the 5b of Boy Boy Larsen and his #5j of Gerald Larsen, SR. duking it out for second and right on his tail. Devon Bowles in the #4d Mac Haik Ford Eco Mods took advantage of a restart to take over the lead. Then drove his car to victory with the early leader #31 of Mason Martin forcing the issue and the always stout James Riddle running a close 3rd. The Outlaw minibikes had 2 features both were won by Russell Collins on the #442 with 2 different 2nd and 3rd place finishes. We got the school bus out during intermission and took the kiddos several times around the speedway with them in the windows waving and being cheered on by the best fans in the country at BIG O. So, plan on joining us next week for Saturday night racing with SOUTHERN TOURING LATE MODEL SERIES joining us and the BTS Concrete Thunder cars are adding another feature race – the flag pole race! Just more excitement and fun at BIG O! Be there Be there Be there.
