April 6, 1985, 85 Speedway held its first race and there has been no looking back. Jimmy Allard and his dad broke ground in 1984 to build a dream and a passion to be shared with others. 85 Speedway has held itself with the test of time and through a few owners. The last 4 years the track has been revived with the same passion and renewing the dream, a new name, BIG O Speedway, evolved. Jimmy and his family run a local engine shop, but are still made sure they play a vital role at BIG O Speedway. We want to honor him and his family tonight for adding an America pastime to Ennis, Texas. Please come to the races and show Mr. ALLARD that you appreciate all he has done for you direct or indirectly. We would love to show him HIS stands are full of appreciation at 36 years and counting….
