Deepest condolences from BIG O Speedway to the Edwards family and sincerest sympathies to all at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during your time of loss.

“Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace. Mother’s hold their children’s hands for a while, but their hearts forever.”

It is with tremendous sadness that we say goodbye to Beverly Edwards.

A pioneer for so many who have taken up a profession in Motorsports, Beverly stood at the side of her late husband, Lanny, as they built Lawton Speedway, Devil’s Bowl Speedway and so many other dirt ovals across Texas and Oklahoma. She was there for the co-founding of the Chili Bowl Nationals and helped build a legacy that will forever be known and emulated.

More than her accomplishments as a track owner and promoter, her life’s greatest accomplishments are seen through the care and love of her family. That is, and will always be her greatest testament. Beverly was 83 years old at the time of her passing.

We pray for the entire Edwards family, and indeed the community they help and are a part of.
